I’m writing this blog post just as it is coming up to eleven at night and the reason why I named it ‘Being Indecisive’ is because that’s really what I need stop doing right now with my blog layout. I seem to be constantly trying to change the visual appearance of my blog. A few days a go I was experimenting with a header design and thought to myself, ‘what a total waste of time’. I’m not saying that the appearance does not matter but I really need to have a cut off point like a deadline to meet so I can get it designed and then stick to it.
Not only is this a total waste of time to be spending too long on something that should be a ‘one off’ but I realised it was also taking my attention away from the main content of my blog which incidentally is still about me trying to figure out what it is I want to blog about.
Wait a minute, that’s an idea in itself. Why don’t I just blog about how not to blog. Atleast in that way you can come to my blog posts to find out what not to do and avoid doing it. I’ll give that a thought.
It may be because I enjoy things like design and graphics but in a way it can work against me especially if my blog is not specifically about design and graphics. Who knows it might turn into a blog about just that. If I fiddle around and waste time being indecisive with silly little things like blog header designs I’m wandering how many other people do the same thing not necesarrily with blog header designs but with anything else.
I’d love to hear your feelings on this and whether you have done this in the past or are still guilty of it now.
