Every single thing that surrounds us has something to do with our own personal story.
Every morning I walk with my daughter to High School but hadn’t walked for a few days due to the snowy winter season. The snow looked absolutely beautiful but when the rain had washed it away it revealed ruined roads that were left with massive pot holes. As absurd as it may seem the most unexpected of things trigger ideas for me. In my case at the moment everything seems to be revolving around good content for my blog. The first thing I thought of was, ‘Oh no look at those pot holes, they’re dangerous. Oh well not to worry someone will come along and fill them up.’ After thinking that I did not even bother to give the local council a ring to inform them about it after all they do rely on the public to let them know about things like this. Can you imagine if the council had to employ people to look for pot holes without relying on the public informing them? That’s some serious work and come to think of it they just wouldn’t get filled up!!
Pot holes in my blog
Strangely enough it reminded me of my blog. Why? Well it’s full of pot holes too but the only difference is this. I cannot have the same mentality with my blog as I did with the pot holes in the road with the notion that someone will come along and fill up them. They wont and why should they anyway ?!?! That’s for me to do. It is for me to dig deeper with more research, more networking with the right people and harder work.
I just thought I would share this with you just incase you might want to look into any potential pot holes appearing in your blog. Another reason for me sharing is to document all the ways in which content is thought up for my blog. This was almost an instant article the moment I saw the pot holes on the road. May be I need to let everything around me act as a potential trigger for my blog and turn it into a focused article? Also, come to think of it, I need to be networking with like minded people which will obviously give me new ideas.
At the moment I have no product or service to offer on my blog and it also does not lead to another webite and nor does another website bring anyone to this blog. Would you say that that is the main pot hole in my blog? I don’t think so because this is the whole point of documenting this journey. But what do you think? Maybe I’m wrong !!
