Am I crazy or is this how other bloggers have felt too but just never actually made a blog post about it? I honestly don’t know so please feel free to share your thoughts on this post, but first read on.
If you’ve been following this blog you’ll know by now that I was starting from scratch with no contacts and no real blogging experience. This was about a month ago.
Today was the day
Today was the day that I received my very first blog comment and do you know what? It felt like I had won an award for something amazing. I kept reading it over and over again to relive that moment I spotted the comment. I know I know you think I’m delusional right? But when you want something to work so bad even a little glimmer of hope matters. That little glimmer of hope was someone called Walter. You can visit his blog at lionslinger.com which incidentally is extremely interesting. Even more exciting was that someone had retweeted the Step Out Of Your Article post.
That one blog comment has taught me a lot and brings one word to mind: Engage. Engage with other readers even if their blog is new because it creates confidence in other people just like it did to me. It starts a little chain reaction of positive feedback and a willingness to learn and continue.
Did you remember receiving your first blog comment? If so were you excited about it or not really bothered? Or am I really deluded?
