What do I do to find the right image for my blog posts? Well I enjoy photography and am also a fluent user of Photoshop so for me personally it is not a problem to spend a little time to take some good quality digital images to match my posts. All of the blog post images are taken by me unless stated otherwise. The only image I have not created or taken is the one in the ‘Brilliant WordPress Theme’ post.
If you do not have an interest in photography or do not have the time for take these images yourself I would recommend searching for an image through an online image stock website. There are loads of them out there but I would recommend one partular one. The website is Fotolia and it literally has millions of images of various file formats including high quality stock video footage too. I have have submitted some of my own images to be used as stock images for others and speaking from experience they have very strict guidlines to keep up their professional standard. Out of about thirty images that I have submitted so far only eleven have been accepted for my fotolia portfolio. (Personally I thought they were all brilliant !! hee hee)
If you offer free images on your website or blog I would be interested in taking a look at them. Feel free to leave links to your free images as I might just drop by and use them if I’m ever feeling a little lazy !!!
